Jackie has lived in Arlington Heights for 18 years and has 3 children currently attending public schools, one at Buffalo Grove High School and the others at Copper Middle School. Her education includes a Master’s degree in public policy and an undergraduate degree in education. Jackie believes parent representation is essential on local school boards and they function best when there is good community engagement. It is clear to her in attending school board meetings the last year that the current board is out of touch with the community and does not believe it is accountable to the students, parents or constituents. She is running for D214 School board because she wants to restore that trust, transparency, and accountability to the board.
